Randy and his wife, Sharon, made the move to Shreveport, Louisiana, in May, 2016. Before becoming the Lead Pastor at Baptist Tabernacle, Randy started his ministry as an associate at the Eastside Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Mo. for 17 years. He then moved on to serve as associate pastor at Temple Baptist where he spent two years in Lubbock, Texas. God began to work in his heart to seek a pastorate position where he was then called to the Lindenwald Baptist church in Fairfield, Ohio. He and his family served there for 14 years. and in that time, the Lord grew the church mightily. He then felt a strong calling to leave his healthy, thriving church and serve along side his son, Randy Jay Moore, who had planted a church in McKinney, Texas. Revolution Church was growing steadily under his son's leadership. After serving a year, he felt that God was urging him to seek a church once again. He then accepted the position at Baptist Tabernacle where he is currently ministering. He.is happily serving God and is now part of a growing ministry once again. He has a very strong passion for evangelism and leading others to find and follow Jesus. His life is dedicated to living by example and encouraging men and women to live up to their full potential in Christ. He loves spending time with his three sons and their families, whenever possible. He is very proud of all three of his sons who pastor churches in other cities. Brian is the pastor of Crosspointe church in Yorba Linda, California, Randy Jay Moore is the pastor of Revolution church in McKinney, Texas, and John Mark Moore is the pastor of the OakLake Baptist church in Sugarland, Texas. Pastor Moore loves people and his heart's desire is to tell others about the Savior and see their lives transformed by the power of God

My name is Joshua, I surrendered my life to the ministry when I was about 26 years old. I fought with this call for a long time growing up wondering what it truly meant to be called to preach. I had the privilege to get to know our founding pastor Dr. Jimmy Tharpe and one day on a visit I asked him how he knew that God had called him to preach. He showed me the verse in 1 Timothy 3:1 (KJV). "This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work." God began to use what Dr. Tharpe had told me that day to convict my heart and show me that God had better plans in my life than what I was currently doing.
